===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR FEBRUARY 14th – 16th, 2025 =====
Triton and Montana Robbins each had a win and runner-up finish in Worcester and were the biggest improvers of the week, with Montana gaining 10 spots and Triton up 9 spots and not threatening tourmate Matt Cody for the 10th position!
Breakage kept Blake Granger’s Monster Mutt Dalmatian at bay in Pittsburgh which let Krysten Anderson and Tony Ochs pick up their first wins of the season. Adam Wilson drove Equalizer to his first win of the season in Levelland, too. In Oklahoma meanwhile, Coty Saucier won his sport-leading 19th event of the season.
The top spots in the standings are inches apart right now. Tyler Menninga has the top spot due to having a better average than Coty Saucier (1st rank versus 2nd rank). But it’s important to see that Jon Zimmer Jr has the 3rd most Total Points and is only 12 points behind Menninga. If Zimmer passed Menninga in Total Points, then Tyler’s score drops from 2 + 1 = 3 down to 3 + 1 = 4 which would put Saucier back into first place. That would also break the tie between Zimmer Jr and Ryan Anderson and give Zimmer the 3rd place back.
As a reminder, the rankings are based on a driver’s combination of Total Points Ranking and Average Points Ranking. Tyler Menninga has the 2nd most Total Points and 1st most Average Points, so his rank score is 1 + 2 = 3. Coty Saucier is 1st in Total Points and 2nd in Average Points, so his rank score is also 3, but Menninga gets the sport due to having a higher average.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: John Darnell, Kory Kinal, Ben Wimp, B.k. Moody, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!
