===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR FEBRUARY7th – 9th, 2025 =====
With the Monster Jam Arena West tour running timed racing in Denver this weekend, Coty Saucier was unable to earn any points which let Tyler Menninga reclaim the #1 ranking. Menninga had two early exits in Houston last week but made up for it with a win over Bari Musawwir this weekend. Musawwir himself has been having a good run with 1 win and 3 finals in his past 4 races.
The All Star Monster Mashers point series has been a wild one. Preston Perez built a lead but then lost it due to several weeks of mechanical problems. This week in Mobile, Alabama, he and points leader Elliott Miller exchanged wins, leaving the two only 4 points apart in the standings. Miller will be the leader when the tour resumes in two weeks in Georgia.
Fourteen times this season Mason Rife in Outlaw has raced Kaley Engstrom in Shark Attack with Rife holding a 9-5 lead. The two met up in all three Monster Truck Wars finals in Williamston this weekend with Rife winning 2-out-of-3. Engstrom maintains the higher ranking, however, as she has raced in the finals in 11 consecutive events.
Jimmy Creten has won 11 of his last 13 races and is still in the top ten. Peter Nyman thrilled his home country fans with a big Monster Jam racing win in Stockholm, beating out Charlie Pauken and Mike Vaters II. Downunder, Jack Monkhouse and Hayden McLeary met in the finals again with Monkhouse returning to the top spot in Wacky-Doo. And Byron Cadigan had a great weekend in Bearfoot with 1 win in 3 final round trips down in Louisiana.
It was a bit of a slower week with only 31 events on the schedule, but we’re right back up to the mid-40s next week. Remember to right down the racing bracket and send it in to us for any event you attend. We need the help to assemble results from all of these events and greatly appreciate the support!
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Sean Green, Bryan Wagner, Preston Perez, Josh Baumgartner, Aaron Basl, Ben Wimp, Gabriel Lee, Nick Kraemer, Devin Jones, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== NEW THIS WEEK =====
The minimum race requirement was increased from 5 races to 10 races, so any driver with fewer than 10 races reported was dropped from the rankings. They will rejoin the rankings when they reach the minimum number of reported events. We will later increase the minimum to 15 events and finish the season with a minimum of 20 events needed to be included in the final rankings.
===== ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA =====

Jack Monkhouse and Hayden McLeary met in the finals in Adelaide just as they had in Perth two weeks ago, but this time it was hometown hero Monkhouse coming out on top with a clean sweep of all his heats and a 2-0 finish in the best-of-three finals. These two met in the finals 5 times last year with Monkhouse in Wacky-Doo winning all but one.

2/8 Sat Ngt: We do not have results from this event
Saturday afternoon in Hobbs saw Jacob Ladwig beat out Pat Paquet in the finals, while the night race was Josh Baumgartner driving Bigfoot beating out Brandon Swick in Geronimo. Unfortunately, that’s all we know from the bracket and so we still need more information in order to awarded points.
===== HOUSTON, TX =====
2/8 Sat Ngt: TYLER MENNINGA [Grave Digger] defeated Bari Musawwir [Zombie]
With Saucier competing in non-points timed racing this weekend, Tyler Menninga seized the opportunity to reclaim the #1 ranking by racing past Bari Musawwir in Houston. That helps make up for his two early exits in Houston last week. Bari Musawwir was in the finals for the 3 times in 4 races and maintains his 6th place ranking. Usually suspects Camden Murphy and Dalton Widner were in the semi-finals.
===== LAS VEGAS, NV =====

Carson Williams has been in the finals 5 times in 6 races since taking the wheel of Velociraptor, but his two trips in Madison only resulted in runner-up finishes. Travis Groth drove Smashosaurus to the win on Friday with Cliff Turner in Kamikaze taking the win on Saturday. It was the first win of the season for both drivers and the first career win for Cliff Turner in this, his rookie season.

2/9 Sun Aft: ELLIOTT MILLER [High Tide] defeated Cory Snyder [Illuminator]

The two traded wins in Mobile. Miller’s 2nd win of the season puts him inside the Top 50 while Perez now has 9 wins and is in 14th. The All Stars are off next week to give the teams a chance to repair and regroup before the series continues in Winder, Georgia.

===== STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN =====
2/8 Sat Aft: PETER NYMAN [El Toro Loco] defeated Michael Vaters II [The Amazing Spider-Man]
As he did in 2023, Sweden’s own Peter Nyman topped the Monster Jam team drivers in front of his family and friends in Stockholm. Nyman had the tough task of beating Charlie Pauken twice as the Grave Digger driver returned in the semi-finals on the Break Rule. In the finals was another tough racer in Mike Vaters Jr who driving The Amazing Spider-Man for the first time. This was Nyman’s first win of the season and follows up on the 6 he had last year between Monster Jam and Monsterrace. He is arguably the top monster truck racer outside of North America right now.

Rob Poutre gained back a few spots in the standings with his racing win on Friday night in West Monroe, but breakage kept him from earning any more though the weekend.
