===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR MARCH 21st – 23rd, 2025 =====
This has been our most-competitive Open Championship to date with ANOTHER lead change! Tyler Menninga faced early elimination in his old stomping ground of the Arena track while Coty Saucier added his industry-leading 24th win in Tucson to reclaim the #1 spot.
The Arena Central tour brought us big news again as Triton Robbins rattled off three consecutive wins to reach the Top 5. He is now right behind Jon Zimmer Jr who sits in 4th. Meanwhile on the West Tour, Devin Winfield also grabbed 3 consecutive wins in his best weekend of the season.
Jared Smith has had a few interesting streaks on the Toughest Tour this year. First he had 5 consecutive first round loses, followed by 10 consecutive semi-final appearances, and now has 2 straight wins after sweeping the racing in Lafayette! He was our biggest mover with a +14 rise in the Open rankings. Rod Schmidt, Kayla Blood, Jamie Sullivan, Armando Castro, and Brianna Mahon all had multiple final round showings this weekend, as well, but sadly without a win.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us with reporting events this week: Ben Wimp, Bryan Wagner, Preston Perez, Lee Collins, Nick Davis, Kory Kinal, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

3/22 Sat Aft: KORY KINAL [Jekyll & Hyde] defeated Jimmy Creten [Bounty Hunter]
3/23 Sun Aft: JIMMY CRETEN [Bounty Hunter] defeated Dan Dahlgren [Shark Bite]
Kory Kinal was one of our biggest improvers last week. He had a streak of 4 runner-ups followed by a streak of 4 wins after taking the opening round in Waco, Texas this past weekend. But a first round loss on Sunday ended that streak and prompted Jimmy Creten on to claim his 20th win of the season. He is only the 2nd driver to hit 20 wins this season behind Coty Saucier’s 24.
===== GRAY, TN =====
3/22 Sat Aft: PRESTON PÉREZ [Toxic] defeated Cory Snyder [Illuminator]
3/23 Sun Aft: NO POINTS; Racing was contested as solo timed runs rather than side-by-side
Preston Perez maintains his points lead in the All Star Tour points series with 2 weekends of racing remaining. He beat out teammate Cory Snyder in an awesome final round on Saturday afternoon which moved the Toxic truck up to 15th place in the Open rankings. Sunday’s event was converted to solo runs due to track conditions.
===== GREEN BAY, WI =====
3/21 Fri Ngt: JON ZIMMER JR [Terminal Velocity] defeated Jamie Sullivan [Sparkle Smash]
3/22 Sat Aft: TRITON ROBBINS [Krazy Train] defeated Jon Zimmer Jr [Terminal Velocity]
3/22 Sat Ngt: TRITON ROBBINS [Krazy Train] defeated Jon Zimmer Jr [Terminal Velocity]
3/23 Sun Aft: TRITON ROBBINS [Krazy Train] defeated Jamie Sullivan [Sparkle Smash]
The Monster Jam Arena Central tour was destined to be a highlight of the racing season this year and once again it proved to be pivotal in the standings. Series points leader Jon Zimmer Jr extended his lead with another win and 2 runner-up finishes, while Jamie Sullivan gets back into the finals for the 8th time (although she’s still looking for her first racing win since January).
But the big news from Triton Robbins going full-stream through the field with three consecutive wins to close out the weekend. He has won 5 of his last 6 brackets and was runner-up in the two events before that. He was in 25th in late January, up to 12th by late February, and now had reached the Top 5 at the end of March! He’s the 9th driver to reach double-digit wins and now has the 5th most points of all drivers.

This Hot Wheels Live event did not include side-by-side racing and so points were not awarded.
===== JONESBORO, AR =====
3/22 Sat Ngt: KAILA SAVAGE [USA-1] defeated Paul Strong [Quad Chaos]
Kaila Savage grabbed her 2nd win of the season with some artful racing on the concrete holeshot track in Jonesboro.
===== LAFAYETTE, LA =====
3/22 Sat Ngt: JARED SMITH [Cyber Attack] defeated Daron Basl [Block Head]
3/21 Fri Ngt: JARED SMITH [Cyber Attack] defeated Jerry Beck [Dirt Crew]
What an interesting string of events Jared Smith has had with the Toughest Tour this season. He started the year with 5 consecutive first round loses, then had TEN consecutive semi-final round appearances. Now this past weekend in Lafayette he leveled-up one more time with back-to-back wins! That’s his first win since running Dirt Crew Dozer on the All Star Tour in Amite, Louisiana back in November. (Maybe he should race in Louisiana more often?) He got an enormous +14 improvements in the rankings and is now inside the Top 50 since December.
===== LOUISVILLE, KY =====
3/22 Sat Ngt: DALTON WIDNER [Jurassic Attack] defeated Armando Castro [El Toro Loco]
3/23 Sun Aft: CAMDEN MURPHY [Classroom Crusher] defeated Armando Castro [El Toro Loco]
Armando Castro has been in the finals 8 times this season now but with only 1 win to his name. Nonetheless, his two runner-up finishes in Louisville have him up 5 spots in the rankings. Tyler Menninga came into the weekend as the #1 ranked racer in the sport but the former Arena champion could not seem to find his usual speed with the Stadium West superstars running inside the historic Freedom Hall. Instead we saw another former arena champion Dalton Widner (who won the Toughest tour a few years ago) come out on top with his 6th win. He stays in 10th place. Camden Murphy won on Sunday is now right above Widner in 9th place.
===== SOMERTON, AZ =====
3/22 Sat Aft: MASON RIFE [Outlaw] defeated Kaley Engstrom [Shark Attack]
The Monster Truck Wars tour went outdoors near Yuma, Arizona. Mason Rife broke his short streak of first round loses with his 9th win of the season, but Kaley Engstrom’s streak of final round appearances continues with her 7th-in-a-row.
===== SYRACUSE, NY =====

3/22 Sat Ngt: JERRY FURAJTER [Shark Attack] defeated Devin Jones [T-Rex]
3/23 Sun Aft: DEVIN JONES [T-Rex] defeated Jerry Furajter [Shark Attack]
No report from the first race in Syracuse which was surprising considering that each event was sold out! Jerry Furajter and Devin Jones once again swapped wins during the remaining two events.
===== TUCSON, AZ =====
3/21 Fri Ngt: DEVIN WINFIELD [Velociraptor] defeated Coty Saucier [Dragon]
3/22 Sat Aft: DEVIN WINFIELD [Velociraptor] defeated Coty Saucier [Dragon]
3/22 Sat Ngt: DEVIN WINFIELD [Velociraptor] defeated Brianna Mahon [Scooby Doo]
3/23 Sun Aft: COTY SAUCIER [Dragon] defeated Devin Winfield [Velociraptor]
3/23 Sun Ngt: WESTON ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Brianna Mahon [Scooby Doo]
It was a breakout weekend for Devin Winfield as he extended his winning streak to 4 races and moved into 2nd place in the Monster Jam Arena West points series! That great weekend moved him up 9 spots into 17th place overall in the Open Championship which is his highest ranking of the season.
Meanwhile Coty Saucier posted 2 runner-ups and a win to reclaim the #1 ranking in the sport. He has 24 wins in 50 races and an amazing 9832 points before April!
Brianna Mahon is still the top-ranked female racer in the sport with now 12 final round appearances and the 14th best points total in the sport.
===== VANCOUVER, BC =====
3/21 Fri Ngt: ZACK GARNER [Wild Side] defeated Kayla Blood [Sparkle Smash]
3/22 Sat Aft: TRISTAN ENGLAND [JCB DIGatron] defeated Todd LeDuc [Megalodon]
3/22 Sat Ngt: TRISTAN ENGLAND [JCB DIGatron] defeated Kayla Blood [Sparkle Smash]
3/23 Sun Aft: TODD LEDUC [Megalodon] defeated Zack Garner [Wild Side]
The Monster Jam Stadium West superstar squeezed into the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver for a weekend of Arena-style racing. Zack Garner was a strong Arena racer last season and kicked off the weekend with a win and closed with a runner-up finish. He also knocked Adam Anderson out of the bracket 3 times! That moved him up 5 spots inside the Top 30. Todd Leduc did the same and picked up his first racing win of the season on Sunday to move inside the Top 40. Kayla Blood reached the finals for the first time this season and gained 8 spots in the standings as one of our most-improved in the rankings. Tristan England—the series points leaders—won twice on Saturday but actually lost places in the standings due to impressive performances on the Arena Central tour. Nonetheless he remains well inside the Top Ten.
