===== WEEKEND RECAP FOR MAY 31st – JUNE 2nd, 2024 =====

Adam Anderson was on a mission after his disappointing World Finals racing finish and blew past his competition in East Rutherford for his 10th win of the season. Team Scream’s Joe Foley was in his first final round of the season after strong consistent passes despite fighting start problems. Foley gained 6 spots which was the biggest gain of the weekend.

Jacob Ladwig was dominate on the Insanity Tour and added two wins over new competition on the Kicker Tour in Gallup. Jimmy Creten got revenge on Mikey Vaters for ending his winning streak in Ottawa last Saturday as he beat Overkill on the concrete roundy-round course in Quebec.

Daron Basl won the season debut for the Full Throttle Tour after their event rained out last weekend. Peter Nyman won both kick-off races for the Monsterrace season in Sweden. Lots of other events went unreported this week unfortunately, but we do have wins from Devin Winfield, Austin Spence, Ryan Robinson, Brett Falvey, Byron Cadigan, Preston Perez, Montana Robbins, Jon Zimmer Jr, Zach Winchenbach, Zane Rettew, and Stanley Hernandez as the independent events took center stage this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who reported results to us this weekend: J.r. Rouse, Brandon Gallie, Lee Collins, Preston Perez, Paul Harry, John Brown, Scott Heaton, Matt Snell, Kirk Nagy, Phil Vicinanza, and everyone who posted videos and photos online!

===== BOONSBORO, MD =====

6/1 Sat Aft: PRESTON PÉREZ [Toxic] defeated Cory Snyder [Illuminator]

6/1 Sat Ngt: MONTANA ROBBINS [Plane Krazy] defeated Cory Snyder [Illuminator]

The two finalists from the huge Overdrive race near Pittsburgh last week made their way into the final rounds of the Overdrive races in Boonsboro this week, with both Preston Perez and Montana Robbins picking up wins. Cory Snyder meanwhile made it to the finals for the 4th time in his 5 Overdrive events but is sadly now 0-4 and is looking for his first win since Wheeling in late April.

===== BOZEMAN, MT =====

We know that Tim Hall Jr picked up 2 wins and a runner-up finish with Monsters of Destruction in Bozeman but that’s about all we know and so points could not be awarded. If you have info from this event, please share!

===== CARROLLTON, IL =====

5/30 Thu Ngt: DARON BASL [Dirt Crew Dozer] defeated Eric Howe [Country Strong]

After getting rained out last week, the Full Throttle Tour started their summer racing season in Carrollton with Daron Basl taking Dirt Crew Dozer to the win. That’s his 10 win of the season although it was against a different line-up than Basl was used to seeing on the Toughest and Outlaw Nationals tours. The Full Throttle tour continues with two events this weekend in Pleasant Hill, Illinois and Walton, Kentucky.

===== EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ =====

6/1 Sat Ngt: ADAM ANDERSON [Grave Digger] defeated Joe Foley [Axe]

Adam Anderson was on rails in New Jersey as he mowed down competition with ease including an opening round win over World Finals Racing runner-up Tristan England, a semi-final victory over current World #1 Ryan Anderson, and a final round victory over surprising independent finalist Joe Foley. For Anderson this was his 10th win of the season and inches him closer to second place Tyler Menninga. For Foley, it was his first Stadium final appearance of the season but his 3rd final round in his past 6 Monster Jam events.

===== EVERETT, WA =====

This Hot Wheels Live event did not include side-by-side racing and so points were not awarded.

===== GALLUP, NM =====

5/31 Fri Ngt: JACOB LADWIG [Rat Attack] defeated Allen Pezo [Predator]

6/1 Sat Ngt: JACOB LADWIG [Rat Attack] defeated Eric Swanson [Obsessed]

Jacob Ladwig has been in the final round for the past 15 events and has won 11 of his last 12. After a successful stint with the Insanity Tour and regular wins over Geronimo and Bigfoot, this weekend he came out on top with the Kicker Nationals and took out strong racers Eric Swanson and Hall-of-Famer Allen Pezo to gain 3 spots and put himself in 29th place overall.

===== HOGSATER, SWEDEN =====

6/1 Sat Aft: PETER NYMAN [Thor] defeated Edvin Borjesson [Reckless]

6/2 Sun Aft: PETER NYMAN [Thor] defeated Edvin Borjesson [Reckless]

The Swedish Monsterrace season is underway after a pair of events in Hogsater. Peter Nyman takes both in strong fashion, although Edvin Borjesson in Reckless was not far behind. The Sunday event turned into a mudbath thanks to a heavy downpour just after qualifying. We also saw the debut of Kewin Harrysson’s Oden truck on 66’s. This truck was formerly the Joker and John Deere themed trucks and looked solid in its debut, including a 3rd place finish on Sunday.

===== HURRICANE, UT =====

6/1 Sat Ngt: DEVIN WINFIELD [Jurassic Attack] defeated Mason Paul [Rockwell R.E.D.]

Devin Winfield gets his 2nd win in a row and 4th final round in a row, this time driving Jurassic Attack on a Saint Louis track in Hurricane, Utah.

===== ORILLIA, ON =====

6/1 Sat Aft: We do not have results from this event

6/1 Sat Ngt: We do not have results from this event

We don’t have any results from the Edge Monster Madness event in Orillia.

===== QUEBEC CITY, QC =====

6/1 Sat Ngt: JIMMY CRETEN [Bounty Hunter] defeated Michael Vaters II [Overkill Evoltuion]

Jimmy Creten gets revenge for Mike Vaters ending his winning streak last week in Ottawa. This time it was through an 8-truck field on a no-dirt, reverse Chicago-style track. The finals was a fast and energetic affair between the two talented drivers with Creten taking the win by a truck’s length. Jimmy has won 12 of his 16 events this season and needs 4 more to join the rankings. He currently has 3268 points.

===== RICHMOND, IN =====

The Extreme Motor Madness event in Richmond went from a fast dry track to a mudfest, testing the drivers with different track conditions through the day. There were some side-by-side heats, but only three trucks and no full bracket, so points were not awarded.

===== SHOW LOW, AZ =====

5/31 Fri Ngt: AUSTIN SPENCE [Boss Gator] defeated Gabe Montoya [Misfit]

6/1 Sat Aft: STANLEY HERNANDEZ [Lone Wolf] defeated Ryan Robinson [Kicking & Screaming]

6/1 Sat Ngt: RYAN ROBINSON [Kicking & Screaming] defeated Stanley Hernandez [Lone Wolf]

Thomas Kimmons’ tough crash on Friday Night put Kicking & Screaming out in the first round as Austin Spence moved on to claim the win on the Nitro Tour. Kimmons was up late working hard to get the truck repaired for Saturday and decided to let Ryan Robinson take the wheel. Robinson has been a journeyman this season, having driven Kamikaze, Nitro Hornet, V8 Bomber, Taurus, El Nitro Loco, and most recently Tailgator, so he’s used to quickly learning a new truck. He ended up making the finals in the afternoon and lost to Stanley Hernandez in Lone Wolf, but then turned the tables and beat Hernandez in the evening for his 2nd win of the season.

===== STOCKTON, CA =====

5/31 Fri Ngt: We do not have results from this event

6/1 Sat Aft: We do not have results from this event

We are still waiting for more results from Stockton so unfortunately no points yet.

===== TOPSHAM, ME =====

5/31 Fri Ngt: ZACH WINCHENBACH [Lumberjack] defeated Jessica Millard [Be Aware]

6/1 Sat Aft: ZANE RETTEW [Shredder] defeated Jessica Millard [Be Aware]

6/2 Sun Aft: We do not have results from this event

It was a trying weekend for the Renegade tour in Topsham as breakage wreaked havoc on the brackets. Zach Winchenbach lost twice on Friday night but returned twice on the Break Rule to beat out Jessica Millard in the finals for his 2nd win of the season. On Saturday afternoon, Zane Rettew was looking fast in Shredder and ripped past Millard—who was in her second final round—for his 3rd win of the season. The Saturday night race was postponed to Sunday after Crushstation knocked down a utility line during freestyle, but unfortunately we do not have any results from that race.

===== UKIAH, CA =====

This Redwood Empire Spring Fair event did not include side-by-side racing and so points were not awarded.

===== WAUSAU, WI =====

6/1 Sat Aft: BRETT FALVEY [USA-1] defeated Byron Cadigan [Monster Patrol]

6/1 Sat Ngt: BRETT FALVEY [USA-1] defeated Tommy Varilone [Rampage]

6/2 Sun Aft: BYRON CADIGAN [Monster Patrol] defeated Paul Craighead [Bearly Tame]

Brett Falvey takes home two Chicago-style wins on the Monster X Tour in Wausau, Wisconsin. Byron Cadigan wins a breakage-filled Sunday event over Paul Craighead in the only heat that was run, but since there were at least four trucks scheduled to race but kept out due to racing, this one still counts for points.

===== WILMOT, WI =====

6/1 Sat Ngt: JON ZIMMER JR [Terminal Velocity] defeated Jon Zimmer Sr [Uproar]

After picking up 15 wins on the All Star Tour through the first half of the year, Jon Zimmer Jr starts the summer Monster Truck Throwdown tour with a win over his father in Wilmot.

===== WINDSOR, ON =====

Mike Worsley won the racing contest in Windsor but we could not score it for points because the winners were decided based on times rather than a bracket.
